2027 Summer Internship Program

City National Bank of Florida (CNB) is recruiting its next class of summer interns for a real, hands-on internship experience —real work, real project, real outcomes. Interns work alongside experienced bankers, take ownership of meaningful projects, and build the foundation for a career in banking.

About the Program

Our Summer Internship Program is built to develop the next generation of banking professionals through structured training, mentorship from senior bankers, and exposure to real client work.

Tracks:

• Credit Track — Designed for students interested in underwriting, credit analysis, and portfolio risk. Interns build foundational banking skills through hands-on exposure to borrower financials, financial spreading, covenant testing, credit memorandums, portfolio monitoring, and live credit opportunities.
• Sales Track — Designed for students interested in relationship management and client-facing banking. Interns gain exposure to sales strategy, prospecting, client needs, and the end-to-end banking cycle across areas such as real estate, private, commercial, and corporate banking.

What You’ll Do

Throughout the program, you’ll be immersed in real banking work — not just observing it. Depending on your track, you can expect to be exposed to:

• A structured orientation covering banking systems, credit policy, compliance, and BSA/AML fundamentals.
• Hands-on mentorship from senior bankers and a peer mentor who will guide your goals and deliverables for the summer.

Program Details

• Format: In-person internship based out of our Coral Gables, Florida offices.
• Length: 10 weeks over the summer, full-time.

Program Wrap-Up

• Receive a readiness assessment from senior management on your skills, judgment, and team fit at the close of the program.
• Top performers in the Credit and Sales tracks may be considered for a full-time opportunity.

What We’re Looking For

• Availability: Able to commit to the full 10-week, in-person program.
• Banking Interest: Demonstrated interest in credit analysis, sales, or relationship management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel fundamentals such as lookups, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.
• Communication: Strong business writing, presentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and bring forward big ideas.
• Professional Mindset: Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with the ability to navigate ambiguity using sound judgment.
• Collaboration: Able to build momentum through collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.

• Education: Open to seniors and rising seniors, preferably pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• GPA: Minimum GPA of 3.5 preferred.
