From Slow Progress to the Fast Lane

Julieth Lindao joined CNB in 2016 and is currently Assistant Vice President and Credit Effectiveness Manager.

Julieth began her banking career at City National Bank right out of high school and was just 18 years old.

When she started at CNB, she was enrolled at Miami Dade College, taking one class at a time and working full-time – slowly pursuing her dreams with the hopes of one day earning her Bachelor’s degree.

She knew she was ready for the fast lane and took advantage of CNB’s Career Development Assistance Program. Julieth has since received a B.A. in Economics at FIU and is currently completing her MBA in Organization Leadership from FIU.

“I love that CNB cares about education and offers the flexibility where you can schedule taking a few classes at a time. Right now, I am due to finish my degree next year. I have taken business classes that I feel will benefit both the company and me,” Julieth said. “I feel that focusing on my education while I’m working is allowing me to provide better service to the bank and clients in the future.”

The Career Development Assistance Program is offered to all employees after six months of employment, with the understanding that learning is a continuous journey. The program is applicable for both undergrad and graduate studies and includes certifications, continuous learning options, seminars that provide industry knowledge, employee online development, and a host of other educational options.

For Julieth, she has been taking her classes while also growing within the organization. After starting in Item Processing, she transferred to Loan Services and is now on the Risk Administration Team.

She considers her supervisors to be mentors who have helped her advance her career.

“I grew up within CNB,” she stated. “CNB has taught me the professional skills I have today.”
