
Consumer Direct Mortgage Banker
Workplace Policy Hybrid Job ID 2025-5565 Date posted 07/02/2025The Consumer Direct Mortgage Banker is responsible for mortgage loan production through channels directed by the Residential Director of Sales. The primary source of business will be directed from company sourced initiatives. Acts as an advisor to potential and existing mortgage customers. Maximize production with referrals from LOB Partners, affinity partners and past clients. Ensure an exceptional customer experience is maintained with all potential and existing customers. Ensure all aspects of mortgage applications are in compliance with all applicable state and Federal laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consistently meets and exceeds individual and/or team sales goals, including but not limited to deposit, loans and other, as applicable.
- Increase conforming loan applications through marketing and generating referrals from centers of influence, previous customers and client referrals.
- Identify the financial needs of the customer and introduce to other lines of business within the bank (when applicable).
- Recommends loan solutions in accordance with lending guidelines and clients' requirements.
- Collects and analyzes customer financial information for multifaceted and/or complex borrowers.
- Develops and prepares loan solutions and refers products and services; reviews documentation to ensure compliance. Manages customer pipeline for efficiency.
- Meets the requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act and expected to follow procedures including notifying Human Resources of any changes in current status.
- Assists the applicants of new MLOs/ MBs during onboarding.
- 5+ years experience in mortgage loan origination.
- Thorough understanding of underwriting criteria and guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Federal and State Regulations dealing with Mortgage and Home Equity lending.
- Strong computer skills and competence in Microsoft Office.
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Bilingual desired.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate or related field.
