About the Role

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst supports financial and regulatory reporting. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and key regulatory submissions, ensuring strong internal control over financial reporting, and supporting external audits and regulatory examinations. The position partners closely with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and executive management to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across all reporting.

Ensures all processes are performed in an efficient manner and that they comply with Bank and Federal regulations and guidelines.

What You'll Do: 

  • Prepare, review, and support federal regulatory filings, including, but not limited to:
    • Call Reports (FFIEC 031/041)
    • FR Y 9C, FR Y 9LP, and related schedules
    • FDICIA financial reporting packages and management assertions
    • Risk-weighted asset calculations.
  • Ensure regulatory submissions are complete, accurate, timely, and consistent with GAAP results.
  • Maintain detailed workpapers that meet expectations of regulators and external auditors.
  • Partner with Controllership team to resolve datapoint discrepancies and explain variances.
  • Support regulatory examinations, onsite reviews, and follow‑up requests.
  • Support implementation of new standards, regulatory guidance, and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial and regulatory results, identifying trends and emerging risks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for financial and regulatory reporting matters.
  • Promote a disciplined, control focused reporting culture.
  • Improve documentation standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, automation, and control design.

Qualifications:

What You Bring:

  • 5-7 years experience in Accounting and financial reporting in a banking environment or audit firm working on banking/regulated industry clients.
  • Experience with FedReporter, Fiserv Prologue or other comparable financial reporting systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, challenges and issues.
  • Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement Independent decision making and strong control mindset.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, may be considered.
