About the Role

The Financial Reporting Analyst Senior is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and evaluating financial statements and key regulatory submissions; maintaining strong internal control over financial reporting; and managing activities required for external audits and regulatory examinations within the scope of the role. The position works with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and executive management to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Executes reporting processes in an efficient and well‑documented manner consistent with Bank policies, federal regulations, and established reporting guidelines.

What You'll Do: 

  • Individually prepare and finalize federal regulatory filings, including but not limited to:
    • Call Reports (FFIEC 031/041)
    • FR Y‑9C, FR Y‑9LP, and related schedules
    • FDICIA financial reporting packages and management assertions
    • Risk‑weighted asset calculations
  • Analyze financial and regulatory results to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks that impact business performance or regulatory capital positions.
  • Interpret and apply new standards, regulatory guidance, and reporting requirements to ensure accurate integration into reporting processes.
  • Handle regulatory examination requests, onsite review inquiries, and follow‑up information requirements by providing accurate, well‑supported, and timely documentation consistent with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain detailed workpapers that satisfy regulatory expectations and meet external auditor documentation standards.
  • Partner with the Controllership team to resolve data discrepancies, interpret variances, and validate underlying drivers impacting regulatory and financial results.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for financial and regulatory reporting matters, providing technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a disciplined, control‑focused reporting environment aligned with bank policies, regulatory expectations, and internal control frameworks.
  • Strengthen documentation standards and enhance standard operating procedures to improve clarity, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, data quality, and control design across reporting processes.

Qualifications:

What You Bring:

  • 5-7 years experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, accounting, or a related analytical role within a financial institution or similarly regulated environment required.
  • Exeprience in FedReporter, Fiserv Prologue, or comparable financial reporting systems required.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting instructions applicable to Call Reports, FR Y‑9C/Y‑9LP, and FDICIA reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement structure, balance sheet and income statement relationships, and data flows from the general ledger to regulatory filings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial and regulatory data effectively.
  • Ability to exercise independent decision‑making and apply sound judgment on matters of significance in regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight while maintaining accountability for accuracy and completeness.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and the challenges and issues that influence reporting accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically evaluate processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement. 

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, may be considered.

Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
