
Loan Services Specialist
Workplace Policy Hybrid Job ID 2025-5509 Date posted 05/14/2025The Loan Services Specialist coordinates a variety of functions within the Loan Services Department related to the business operations of the Bank, including but not limited to: loan servicing functions, processing loan payoffs, releasing satisfactions of mortgage and other collateral such as Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, vehicles, and assignments. Responsibilities also include confirming the generation and mailing of annual statements to clients, resolving loan-related issues, and booking new loans, renewals, and modifications. The incumbent monitors the Serviced by Others (SBO) portfolio and maintains current records on each Servicer. Provides client service, conducts research, and ensures timely resolution of client inquiries and complaints. The Specialist is fully knowledgeable and capable of performing day-to-day assignments as needed and cross-trains other employees in these functions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare Satisfaction of Mortgages, Termination of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, and other collateral-related documentation
- Oversee Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) monthly continuations.
- Prepare and issue Estoppel letters.
- Process transactions received via transaction queue, including loan payments, loan advances, and loan maintenance activities.
- Monitor rate updates and ensure accuracy.
- Review daily Loan System reports to identify transactions, duplicate loans, deferred payments, and other potential issues.
- Book all types of loans, including new loans, renewals, and modifications: Commercial, Residential, Consumer, Syndications, and Participations.
- Monitor monthly Serviced by Others (SBO) reports and remittance, create Delinquency Reports for management, generate and disseminate the monthly SBO Management Accounting Report, and maintain current records on Servicers.
- Provide client service by conducting research and resolving client inquiries/complaints in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work efficiently and effectively under deadlines and pressure, while maintaining a professional and composed demeanor.
- Perform additional functions as assigned, based on business needs.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in loan servicing or a related financial services role.
Strong knowledge of loan documentation and loan terms for all type loans.
Strong knowledge of loan servicing and booking covering all types of loans: consumer, residential, commercial, Syndication and Participations among others.
Extensive PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet) and use of office machines (calculator, facsimile).
Dynamic, self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and lead.

Strong client service, organizational and time-management skills.
Detailed oriented, with ability to balance multiple time-sensitive tasks at various levels of completion.
Accuracy and great follow-up skills mandatory.
