Overview:The Private Bank Director directly oversees a team of Private Bankers and serves as relationship manager for a portfolio of high net worth individuals, including, but not limited to Attorneys, CPAs, Physicians and entrepreneurs. Meets and exceeds goals by developing new loans and depository business from prospects and existing clients. Cross-sells bank products, including but not limited to Treasury Management Services. The individual will structure, negotiate and close loan transactions while assuring that a deposit component is prevalent in every loan transaction and new relationship. Individual is expected to deliver the highest level of client service to the client base while responding to all client requests on a timely basis by providing prompt and efficient service. Responsible for the development of Private Client Group clientele through business development calling efforts, social functions and association memberships. Communicates a compelling and inspired vision and sense of core purpose across the bank divisions; ensures the CNB's Private Bank strategic, operational and financial goals and objectives are executed at the local level; promotes synergy, effective and productive working relationships between cross-functional and cross-organizational work teams; ensures strategies, change initiatives, and competitive information are communicated in clear and compelling ways. Listens to, leverages, and promotes the diverse ideas, perspectives and contributions of others across the business.

- Consistently meets or exceeds individual and team goals for deposits, loans, treasury management services, and other bank products and services.
- Provides leadership and direction for Private Banking functions and related business activities.
- Inspires commitment and engagement across the assigned market, region, or division.

- Communicates strategies, change initiatives, and competitive information in a clear and compelling manner.

- Champions proactive planning and continuous improvement by establishing goals, monitoring progress, and holding teams accountable for results.
- In partnership with Human Resources, oversees talent management activities, including hiring, coaching, performance management, development, compensation recommendations, and employee relations matters.
- Achieves profitability, credit quality, and business development objectives for the assigned portfolio and market.
- Develops new business through targeted prospecting, referral source cultivation, networking activities, and participation in business and community organizations.
- Manages and grows client relationships through proactive contact, financial solutions, and exceptional service delivery.
- Exercises authority and sound judgment in matters related to client servicing, pricing, overdrafts, treasury solutions, loan structuring, and relationship management, within approved guidelines.
- Evaluates credit opportunities and makes recommendations regarding risk, loan structure, documentation requirements, and transaction terms.
- Negotiates loan terms based on credit risk, market conditions, profitability objectives, client relationship value, and bank strategy.
- Independently reviews new and renewal credit requests and actively participates in the underwriting process in partnership with appropriate Risk Officers.
- Maintains portfolio quality by monitoring credit performance, identifying emerging risks, minimizing loan losses, and ensuring compliance with loan terms and credit policies.
- Identifies opportunities to deepen client relationships through treasury management, deposit products, and other bank services.
- Obtains all required approvals for new credit requests and loan modifications.
- Provides accurate and timely responses to requests from Enterprise Risk Management related to client reviews, CIP requirements, and other risk-related matters.
- Prepares and submits required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborates effectively with Treasury Management, Client Services, Residential Lending, Legal, Loan Operations, and other internal business partners.
- Structures and negotiates complex credit transactions while identifying and mitigating credit risk.
- Partners with Audit, Loan Review, and regulatory agencies, including the OCC, during examinations and review activities.
- Ensures all loans are properly documented and administered in accordance with approved credit terms and bank policy.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of banking products, services, industry trends, and market conditions.
- More than 10 years of Lending experience.
- 5-7 years of leadership or management experience including mentoring, coaching, and influencing.
- Meets and exceeds goals by developing new loans and depository business from prospects and existing clients.
- Cross-sells bank products, including but not limited to Treasury Management Services.
- Formal Credit training preferred.
- The individual will structure, negotiate and close loan transactions while assuring that a deposit component is prevalent in every loan transaction and new relationship.
- Individual is expected to deliver the highest level of client service to the client base while responding to all client requests on a timely basis by providing prompt and efficient service.
- Responsible for the development of Private Client Group clientele through business development calling efforts, social functions and association memberships.
- Positive, goal oriented, poised, tactful, team oriented, independent, self-starter, detail oriented and has common sense.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field; or An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
