Overview:
The Third-Party Risk Management Analyst will exercise independent judgment to assess, mitigate, and manage risks associated with third-party vendors. The role involves strategic decision-making to align risk management with organizational goals, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective risk control in business operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced third-party risk assessments, identifying inherent and residual risks, and make informed decisions on vendor selection and ongoing management to align with the organization's risk appetite.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage vendor risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on vendor risk profiles, using independent judgment to mitigate risks and align with organizational priorities.
  • Proactively identify and address complex vendor issues, collaborating with key stakeholders to implement remediation strategies and escalation procedures as needed.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-departmental stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding and management of third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with risk management processes.
  • Monitor vendor performance, identifying risks early and recommending corrective actions to mitigate potential issues.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in third-party risk management, advising business units and leadership on risk mitigation strategies and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of training on third-party risk management processes to enhance internal capabilities.
  • Prepare executive-level reports on vendor performance, risk assessments, and compliance, driving continuous improvements in the risk management program.
  • Identify and drive process improvements within the third-party risk management program, leading initiatives to enhance practices across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members and business units, promoting a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
  • Lead key projects within the Third-Party Risk Management team, ensuring the successful execution of program goals and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years expereince in Vendor/Third-Party Risk Management, risk management program governance, Risk and Compliance, Audit, or related field.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Relevant certifications in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM) are a plus.

  • Knowledge of the finance and lending industry including but not limited to vendor management and vendor risk assessment practices and concepts.

  • Understanding of third-party risk management concepts and implementation techniques including third-party governance and performance monitoring.

  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Finance, or related discipline required.
