Overview:The Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions Product Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, managing the P&L, and ensuring operational excellence for the bank's Trade Finance business. This role oversees the end‑to‑end execution of trade transactions, including Supply Chain Finance (Buyer and Seller Centric solutions), Confirming, Factoring, and Invoice Discounts, ensuring adherence to applicable international regulations and internal risk policies.
The Product Manager also plays a pivotal role in the strategic development, management, and enhancement of Trade Finance products to ensure they remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with evolving market needs. For the implementation and launch of new trade products or enhancements, the role collaborates closely with Operations and Technology, internal stakeholders, clients, partners, and vendors, leading product initiatives and supporting the design and implementation of a complete service framework. The role aligns on product goals and roadmap, secures stakeholder buy‑in, and guides execution and adoption to strengthen the bank's trade services offering.
What You'll Do:
- Oversees trade finance processing activities to support accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, applying expert knowledge to complex requirements.
- Designs and develops operational policies, procedures, controls, and service standards in alignment with the bank’s processes, international rules, and market practices to support efficiency, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintains Product Programs and framework documentation for the Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions product offering.
- Ensures that all Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions processes and procedures comply with internal risk policies and applicable international regulations, escalating issues as needed.
- Liaises with internal stakeholders including business units, risk, compliance, legal, internal audit, and operations leadership to support governance activities, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provides guidance on day to day trade finance operational matters by applying subject‑matter expertise to complex cases and supporting effective resolution of documentation, processing, or settlement issues (without supervising staff).
- Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround time, error rates, discrepancy rates, and SLA adherence, and recommends action plans to strengthen performance and operational quality
- Reviews and enhances entitlements and escalation processes to support appropriate authorization of complex or high value transactions, ensuring adherence to trade regulations and bank policies.
- Collaborates with Sales, Products, Corporate Banking, and Commercial Banking to support effective trade execution and identify opportunities for product expansion, new client solutions, and service enhancements.
- More than 10 years experience in Trade product management, product development, structuring or operations with extensive exposure to documentary credits, collections, guarantees, and trade documentation.
- 8-10 years experience with process redesign and launching of new products.
- 5-7 years experience in managing digital product development initatives.
- Extensive knowledge of Core Trade Services products, including Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Guarantees, Supply Chain Finance, and trade‑related financing structures.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and guide teams, driving performance, setting clear expectations, delegating effectively, and fostering a high‑performing culture.
Strong professional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal teams, clients, correspondent banks, regulators, and auditors.
Advanced understanding of global sanctions, AML/KYC regulatory requirements, and international frameworks governing trade operations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate complex scenarios, strengthen controls, and advance continuous process improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
